Summary: The changes in asthma treatment done in GINA 2019 caused a lot of discussion and a bit of controversy. Here we are presenting a paper “The use and efficacy of the SMART therapy in the treatment of asthma in the light of the latest GINA 2020 guidelines” applying this approach in the clinical practice. As we may see, SMART approach delivers some benefits not only in clinical trials but also in everyday practice.
