Summary: Allergic rhinitis (AR) control is an important issue during the COVID-19 pandemic. The nose plays several important roles in the respiratory tract. One of them is filtering and cleaning inhaled air. Therefore, allergic rhinitis control could play an important role in removing respiratory viruses. The present review discusses AR treatment based on international guidelines. Some important new findings are also mentioned. The authors focus on AR treatment with a nasal azelastine/fluticasone combination. This treatment is safe and more efficient than some comparators.
