Pharmacotherapy of inflammatory pain in rheumatology: What to bear in mind in practice
Summary:
Inflammatory pain is a consequence of the body's defensive response to infection, tissue damage or an autoimmune process. Acute pain with an inflammatory component includes post-traumatic pain, among others, while chronic pain with an inflammatory component includes pain in the course of rheumatic diseases. Due to the pathomechanism of pain in the treatment of pain arising in rheumatic diseases, we use broadly defined anti-inflammatory drugs with various mecha-nisms of action.
