Adverse reactions following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination: Frequency and clinical significance

Summary: Vaccines represent one of the best possible solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic. Worldwide vaccine distribution has yet to improve, partially due to frequent public concerns regarding possible side effects of vaccinations. While most current studies indicate that these vaccines are exceptionally safe, rare systemic side effects still remain possible. Safety surveillance of vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 is critical to ensure safety, maintain trust, and support informed policymaking. However, myths, fears, rumors and misconceptions persist all over the world, particularly in regard to probable adverse events.
