The efficient allergic rhinitis treatment in the peak of pollen season – a difficult task? A doable one?

Summary: Allergic rhinitis treatment seems to be an easy task, as long as patients see the doctor some time before the pollen season starts. The treatment when the patients comes in the peak of pollen season is far more demanding. In most situations it takes from 7 to 15 days to obtain the full control of allergic rhinitis symptoms. In this paper we discussed several treatment options according to the current guidelines. We also focused on efficacy and onset of action allergic rhinitis treatment. All suggested medication are efficient, but the difference in their action onset is important in the treatment of highly symptomatic patient. We also make some treatment recommendations based on clinical trials and observational studies.
