Summary: Antihistamines have a different pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profile, which in practice translates into their effectiveness and tolerance. One of the drugs in this group is bilastine, which is characterized by high selectivity of action in relation to the histamine H1 receptor and at the same time it is characterized by an optimal safety profile and a low risk of interactions with other concomitantly used drugs. The paper discusses the criteria for the interchangeability of original drugs with generic drugs in the group of antihistamines.
