Health effects of social isolation of children and adolescents during a pandemic COVID-19 from the perspective of pediatricians

Summary: The SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus first appeared in late 2019 and has spread rapidly around the world. Recommendations for forced isolation are part of a centuries-old tradition of protecting people from serious infectious diseases. These sudden and severe restrictions affected the mental health of patients in various age groups, however, in children and adolescents, clear negative effects of deteriorating mental health to a significant extent, decreased physical condition, and even significant undesirable changes in the organ of vision were observed.
