Summary: The article briefly presents the recommendations for insulin therapy in type 1 diabetes as well as detailed data on the technological solutions in the field of personal insulin pumps available in Poland. The latest models of pumps (including patch pumps), the possibilities of their cooperation with continuous glucose monitoring systems and commercially available algorithms of insulin delivery are discussed. The options for remote transferring data from pumps to healthcare providers (telemedicine) and treatment partners are also presented.
