Summary: Progress in pharmacotherapy today is dependent on, among other things, learning new mechanisms of action of drugs known for years. It is worth remembering that new data on the effectiveness and safety of use of drugs in the pharmacotherapy of pain allow for more effective treatment of pain syndromes. The paper discusses new possibilities of pain pharmacotherapy for use in everyday clinical practice.
