Summary: In everyday practice, the physician meets an increasing population of patients with liver and biliary system diseases. In a very limited number, drugs are available on the pharmaceutical market that effectively and at the same time safely allow treatment or stabilization of these diseases. One of such drugs with a broad spectrum of pharmacological effects is ursodeoxycholic acid, which in practice can be used in many diseases of the liver and bile ducts. In addition to its effectiveness, it has an optimal safety profile.
