Summary:
Chronic obstructive lung disease is one of the most common lung disease of the second half of life in men. Interestingly, this preventable and treatable disease is one of the most frequent cause of death and disability. Among several drugs registered in COPD treatment, long acting b-agonists are widely utilized. In this review we focused on practical problems related to COPD treatment: the choice of mediation, the b-receptors antagonist co-treatment and some psychological aspects. The common problem related to low compliance and adherence is also discussed. Most of these issues are important in everyday family medicine practice.
