Chronic venous disease – what a general practitioner should know

Summary: Chronic venous disease (CVD) is a significant health and social problem in developed countries. The basis of CVD lies in venous hypertension, and incidence is age-related. The treatment includes compression therapy, pharmacotherapy and various forms of surgical treatment. One of the elements of treatment is sulodexide therapy that uses its multifactorial activity in CVD.
