Summary: Cough is one of the most common symptoms that doctors face in working with the pediatric population. Different presentation causes various clinical problems. They should all be quickly resolved. Here we present a practical approach to all typical problems associated with acute and mainly chronic cough in children. The aim of this study is an attempt to discuss these issues in the light of the available clinical data.
