The 2019 coronavirus pandemic set to health care extraordinary challenges and forced a flexible and pragmatic approach to universally accepted patterns to provide life-saving treatment, including dialysis, to all patients. Peritoneal dialysis, in this particular situation, has renewed interest in treating patients with endstage renal disease and acute kidney injury.
