Summary: The article presents technical studies of the new Intec Turbo Mesh nebulizer and evaluates the benefits of its use in combination with a valved holding chamber for inhalation of budesonide suspensions. It was assessed to what extent attaching the valved holding chamber to the mesh nebulizer affects the availability of the drug for the patient and the parameters of the produced aerosol cloud (MMAD, FPF). The results presented in the paper provide preliminary information for further discussion on the clinical effectiveness of using a continuous mesh nebulizer with a valved holding chamber.
