Summary: Guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology and European Society of Hypertension (ESC/ESH) from 2018 and the Polish Society of Hypertension (PTNT) from 2019 regarding the management of hypertension as well as the latest guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology and European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) regarding the management of lipid disorders places emphasis on achieving both new lower blood pressure target values and new lower LDL cholesterol target values. In addition, these documents indicate the benefits of using single pill combination, which by simplifying therapy can increase the degree of compliance with the recommendations.
