Summary: The StethoMe electronic stethoscope and the StethoMe AI artificial intelligence algorithms cooperating with the device are used to record and evaluate pulmonary auscultatory phenomena (wheezes, rhonchi, fine and coarse crackles), inspitatory to expiratory duration ration, respiratory rate (number of breaths/minute)and heart rate. The device can be used at home by parents/guardians of children. Recommendations of two scientific societies regarding the use of the StethoMe stethoscope in children with or suspected asthma are presented. The device can be helpful in diagnosing asthma, monitoring the disease in asthmatic children and extending the scope of medical teleconsultation with a test using StethoMe in the event of respiratory symptoms.
