Beta-blockers in the therapy of arterial hypertension 2023 - reactivated,but with what associated?

Summary: The latest ESH guidelines indicate the place of beta-blockers in HT therapy not only in specific clinical indications, especially in heart disease, but also in a range of clinical situations. In many of these, beta-blockers should or can be combined with ACEi. The guidelines also emphasize that in HT therapy, single pill combinations should be preferred in combination therapy. The availability of single pill combinations based on a beta-blocker and an ACEi allows the use of simple guideline- -compliant therapy in many clinical situations.
