Summary: An increasing percentage of the general population survives to old age, therefore the in the clinical picture of patients, their disability, multi-morbidity and frailty should be taken into account. Arrhythmias are also related to the age of patients. However, so far there have been no recommendations for this specific group of patients. This article discusses the consensus of international cardiological societies published in 2022, focusing on the biology, methods of assessing the frailty syndrome and the specifics of management in relation to individual cardiac arrhythmias and conduction disorders and methods of their treatment.
