Diagnoza postaw pacjentów oraz metody wzmocnienia profilaktyki z użyciem szczepień ochronnych

Diagnosis of patient attitudes and methods for strengthening vaccine prevention

Summary: Vaccinations are one of the most important and most frequently used tools in the fight against infectious diseases, including epidemics and pandemics, which have accompanied humanity for centuries. This study focuses on the assessment of patient attitudes toward vaccination, identifying the lack of reliable information and the rapid pace of new vaccine development as key barriers to effective prevention. Based on a review of the literature in sociology, clinical psychology, and public health, it postulates the integration of vaccination as a fundamental component of primary prevention within the broader concept of a health- -promoting lifestyle. It further emphasizes that attitudes toward vaccination are shaped by personality traits, knowledge, beliefs, and socio-cultural determinants. Epidemiological evidence consistently demonstrates the substantial impact of lifestyle on health outcomes. In the context of vaccination, the principal determinants of patient attitudes include the quality of education, consistency of informational messaging, trust in medical authorities, and the degree of communication personalization. To strengthen vaccination- -based prevention strategies, it is recommended to invest in tailored educational campaigns, ensure coherence of messaging across healthcare professionals, media, and policymakers, enhance physician–patient communication, implement systematic monitoring of public attitudes, develop flexible communication strategies for epidemic crises, and foster robust intersectoral collaboration to counteract misinformation.
